Richard has over 30 years of market research experience and has worked on many valuable projects for both public and private sector clients, both in Canada and internationally.
He has extensive gaming and tourism research experience working with some of the largest destination marketing organizations and dozens of lottery regulators and operators throughout North America. Richard was instrumental in developing the methodology for Destination Canada’s current Global Tourism Watch research program as well as developing unique research ideas for forecasting sales for new lottery game concepts.
Before joining Pollara, Richard focused on providing market research based strategic insights for gaming, tourism, and government clients though his own consultancy and as a Senior Vice President at Harris/Decima.
Richard is a Certified Market Research Professional, a graduate of the PMRS School of Marketing Research Certificate Program and holds an MBA from Queens University. Richard teaches research design and business ethics courses in the Market Research and Business Intelligence graduate certificate program at Algonquin College.
