Amaia Salaverria

Research Assistant

Amaia is an integral part of the Pollara Strategic Insights team, supporting both quantitative and qualitative research studies with her operational prowess, methodological acumen, commitment to quality assurance, and exceptional client service. An inquisitive and thoughtful researcher, she is a critical team member on projects of every type and within every sector.

Amaia has specialized expertise in client sample and membership studies as well as in conducting and analysing research in the financial and health care sectors. She is also the director of our in-house IVR (Interactive Voice Response) research platform, leading IVR survey projects through their complete lifecycle, from survey development to field management to data processing, analysis, and reporting.

Her academic training in linguistics and translation adds depth to her communication skills and analytical perspective. This linguistic expertise complements all aspects of her research work, especially in projects requiring clear, culturally sensitive communication.

Before pursuing her career in market research, Amaia lived in a number of countries, gaining valuable perspectives from working in a variety of industries, including finance, hospitality, IT, and education. Amaia holds a BA in East Asian Studies with a specialization in Japanese from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and an English-Spanish Translation Certificate from York University.
