June 19, 2025 —Pollara’s latest Rage Index shows 78% of Canadians angry when they think about President Donald Trump, but anger towards Canadian politicians is plummeting. The share of Canadians angry towards the federal government is down from 55% in November to 37% today, and the share angry towards provincial governments is down from 52% to 42%.
This suggests anger towards President Trump is serving as a unifying factor in Canada. Indeed, though elections are usually divisive, when Canadians are asked how they felt about the recent federal election, more feel positive (40%) than negative (34%).
Overall, the Rage Index is down 8 points. Despite this falling anger towards Canadian political leaders, the share of Canadians angry about the economy (56%) and their personal finances (38%) has not changed much since last year.
